V3Re - 1 minute backlight setting?

It is really annoying to me that the backlight stays on for 20 seconds only.

How can this be increased - like doubled, or tripled?

Is 20 seconds the longest option in your settings menu?

That's strange. On the brand new GSM V3's I just bought from AT&T for my parents the options are 20, 40 and 60 seconds.

Interesting - Can you give me the software version ID that you have which has the extended options? Thanks, Jay

My choices are - believe it or not - 5, 10, 20 seconds! Who needs a 5-second backlight?

I can check with their phones later, but the firmware for the standard V3 and the V3r are not compatible with each other and are not interchangeable.
