Default Please help, I need some good advice about the Moto V710

I've been asking about the LG VX6000 over in the LG forums and from the sound of it, it is a pretty good phone. However, I would have to pay $49.99 to get the LG VX6000 but I can get the Motorola V710 for free after rebates. Is the Motorola V710 a better/worse phone than the VX6000 and is the V710 a good enough phone to make it worth going through the hassles of sending in rebate forms? Or should I just pay the $49.99 for the VX6000?

Ultimately, the v710 is free so that's a major plus. And IMO, the v710 blows the LG VX6000 out of the water. I would go with the moto.

Since the V710 would be free, I'd go with that. The VX6000 is a good phone but it's old and will probably be phased out with the VX7000 and 8000. If you like having BT and a better screen the Motorola is for you.

I thought the LG VX6100 replaced the VX6000...

JRS, can't make up you're mind?...lol... i don't blame you..

I agree with 2piece, as much as i like LG phones, if the v710 is free after rebates i would definitely go the v710, the v710 was originally about $279 (correct if i'm wrong fellas) so you're getting more phone for your dollars here, especially if it's free after rebates..

There is no comparison between the LG and the 710, the 710 is much, much better

Just curious here, but where/how are you getting the phone for free? I ordered it two days ago from Verizon, and it cost me $149. I got a $50 rebate for ordering it online, but that's it. And can anyone tell me how "new every two" works? My current phone is over two years old, but I never saw any option to use new every two for the purchase of this phone. Thanks in advance for any help.

Amazon.com currently has the V710 at $149 - add in a $150 "loyalty rebate" that kicks in three months into the contract, and you've got a free phone. (That's with a ONE year contract, btw.)

Are you able to do that with an order for multiple quantities of the V710 to use with the Verizon Family Plan? How does that work with Amazon which says you have to order individual service, do you know?

Couldn't tell you, as I've never done it myself.
