I've been asking about the LG VX6000 over in the LG forums and from the sound of it, it is a pretty good phone. However, I would have to pay $49.99 to get the LG VX6000 but I can get the Motorola V710 for free after rebates. Is the Motorola V710 a better/worse phone than the VX6000 and is the V710 a good enough phone to make it worth going through the hassles of sending in rebate forms? Or should I just pay the $49.99 for the VX6000?

Since the V710 would be free, I'd go with that. The VX6000 is a good phone but it's old and will probably be phased out with the VX7000 and 8000. If you like having BT and a better screen the Motorola is for you.

I thought the LG VX6100 replaced the VX6000...

I agree with 2piece, as much as i like LG phones, if the v710 is free after rebates i would definitely go the v710, the v710 was originally about $279 (correct if i'm wrong fellas) so you're getting more phone for your dollars here, especially if it's free after rebates..

Just curious here, but where/how are you getting the phone for free? I ordered it two days ago from Verizon, and it cost me $149. I got a $50 rebate for ordering it online, but that's it. And can anyone tell me how "new every two" works? My current phone is over two years old, but I never saw any option to use new every two for the purchase of this phone. Thanks in advance for any help.

Amazon.com currently has the V710 at $149 - add in a $150 "loyalty rebate" that kicks in three months into the contract, and you've got a free phone. (That's with a ONE year contract, btw.)
