Could somebody PLEASE!!! let me use some unlock codes. My Dad has tons of extra cell phones. BUT NO SERVICE!!!The reason it's like this is because my family is kinda going broke. My Dad even said I could get a cell phone once we get the unlock codes and I'm only 10! So I was just wondering if anyone who reads this message and knows how to unlock cell phones for free service could Email me with unlock codes. My Email Addresses: dhays4sports@yahoo.com THANK YOU! THIS WILL MAKE ME VERY HAPPY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! |

Oh, dear lord. For starters, do you even know what an unlock code is, or what it's used for? (Here's a hint - it won't get you free service.) And if you're family is "going broke", it seems to me the last thing your parents should be thinking about spending your limited funds on is cell phone airtime.

I don't think unlocking all those phones will make a genie pop out and grant wishes.

I was just kidd'n. Someone has to live'n up this place a bit. So everybody get back to your Tech manuels and Please help me migrate hardware to another carrier. LG, Kyocera, Motorola...I was told that you can unlock codes that will enable the phones to freely move to other carriers. If any of you Technical Officers have any info, please give it up. | |

dhays4sports - What you're suggesting is only true in the case of GSM phones, and then only with a GSM carrier. If I remember your duplicate posting correctly, every phone you have at your disposal are iDEN phones, which only work on Nextel and some smaller regional carriers. Just to review, the tech aligns to the major carriers as such: CDMA = VZW, SprintPCS (inc. Virgin Mobile), Alltel GSM = Cingular, TMobile iDEN = Nextel (inc. Boost Mobile) To move a phone from one carrier to another, the technology must be the same (a VZW V710 won't work on Cingular, a Nextel i95 won't work on Sprint, and so forth.) So unless you're going to another iDEN carrier, unlock codes won't do you a bit of good. (One other thing - for someone who's "only 10 years old", you sure have a mastery of sarcasm. Give it a rest, huh?)

Alright, leave the smart a$$ kid alone and just ignore this thread. what do you expect from a 10 year old? maybe he's just an adult acting like a 10 year old....
