Default HS820 BT suddenly stopped working

As of last night my Motorola HS820 BT headset was working just fine with my V710. I turned off both of them to charge them last night and suddenly this morning the phone couldn't find the headset any more. I deleted the device from the phone and tried to re-pair them but the phone says it doesn't seen my HS820 any more. Any body got any ideas what might be going on here?

I am having the same problem with my Motorola HS820 BT headset. I had it synced up to my Samsung Model:SGH-A437. It was working fine and then yesterday it stopped working. I deleted the device from my phone and tried to discovery it again, but the phone can not see it. The BT headset is fully charged and the continuous blue LED comes on, but will not synch with the phone. Any suggestions? Thank you

At this point the HS820, although a fine headset was discontinued by Motorola quite some time ago. It may be that the internal batteries are getting weak, and its not getting proper voltage anymore.

I read about a possible solution on another forum and tried it and it worked for my problem. Here is what I did to get my cell phone to see my HS820 BT headset.

1. Turn-off the HS820 BT headset completely. No LED light.
2. Now go through the process of discovering the HS820 BT headset with your cell phone.
3. While the cell phone is seeking the HS820 BT headset hold the headset button down until the LED light stays on (not blinking).
4. The cell phone should now see the HS820 BT headset.
5. Enter the PIN number. Normally "0000" by default.

Thanks for the reply. My wife bought this BT headset about 2 years ago, but she never used it and it laid in the desk drawer until last week. I just posted the solution that worked for me. It is a slight variation on the normal discovery process in that I first had the phone looking for the BT headset before putting the BT headset in discovery mode.

It could just need be be re-paired but I have to agree with Jay that the battery is probably dying. I've had this happen with my HS820 and HS850 right before they both died. My HS850 wasn't used for a while, then I started using it again and about a week later, it stopped working altogether.
