For anyone who remembers the new phones I promised at CES, they finally made their way out today. The Moto CEO was on CNBC's Squawk Box show and held up several phones. The RAZR will be available is a range of colors according to Business Week, and the first new color is black as shown here. The V6 Pebble was shown and described as "the RAZR for 2005". This dark red sleek flip phone was shown... and then the interviewer changed the topic! Not shown, but also worth discussing is the RAZR in candy bar form that is being called Sliver. No really. |

I actually prefer the black RAZR, myself. But then, I've thought that most handsets would look better in black... it may be that most of my wardrobe is black that I think this, I don't know. Does anyone have a tentative date on when Cingular's exclusivity will end and I might be able to possibly think about purchasing a V3 for T-Mobile... ah, nevermind, I can't afford one anyway.

Another note about the Black Razr. I like the flat color. I don't think it would look as solid in a gloss, (cheapness would be my concern about this look).

I have a question for Razr owners. How reliable, or problematic is this phone? Moto phones (especially high-end ones, like the V710) have been finicky lately. Problems have been well documented on this site. Any problems arise on the V3? Be honest, we know it's a beatiful phone, but is it worth $350-$600? Very curious.... |

Black looks good....brings back memories of the StarTac days...silver is good too...would be a tough decision.

I'll say this much for the RAZR...it's the closest Moto's come to literally designing the classic Star Trek communicator.
