Sorry for the noobie question but I am having difficulty making use of my new bluetooth connection between my laptop (via a dongle) and my V3 Razr. It pairs properly and the connection is fine. I do not yet have mobile phone tools or any other software to manage communication. I had understood I can simply push files (i.e., ringtones, mp3s, pics, etc) to my phone using bluetooth (file transfer). But when I do this, I get an error that says something like "FTP service not found on target device." What am I doing wrong? Also, any way to transfer contacts to the phone without mobile phone tools? Thanks in advance... |

With just a BT connection between your laptop and phone, I don't think you can do what you are trying to do. The phone will not just show up to your computer as a removable drive....like one of those USB thumb drives would..my V400 or V551 do not so I would guess the Razr would not either. You need the Phone Tools application.
