I've never heard of this problem, but it would be helpful if you let us know what model V3 you have, and what carrier you are using.

That's what we need. There is a person here that is really good with that model. My expertise lies in the GSM models, and I've never encountered that problem. Its late tonight, someone should get you some sort of answer within the next day or so.

Thanks for the heads up Jay...I had missed this thread. Unfortunately, I havent heard of this problem before. I too run Alltel's v3m firmware on my phone, and know a bunch of do as well, and I havent heard of this probelm before.

Just to clarify, it literally says "Unknown Caller" right? Or are u referring to it shows the number, but doesnt show the NAME u have asscoiated with your number?

Sounds like it is the former. At any rate, is this phone brand new? How long have u had it? Have u done any kind of hacks or anything liek that?

Let me know a little more, and we can try a few things. You might have to bring it back, but we can try and avoid that. Lastly, are you familiar with seem edits?

Call Alltel and make sure Caller ID is activated on your account. I made the mistake once of doing something to my Verizon account (apparently I messed with Caller ID) and all I got was "Unknown Caller" too. I called, they fixed it and unknown callers were a thing of the past. It's worth a shot to check.
