I'm very confused. I just got a Razr V3M, is it possible to hook it up to my computer so i can like drag and drop files (like 15sec ringtone files)? Do i need to buy a separate memory card to do so?

Help please? that's all i need

I am sure you can do that with the V3m also I know you can with the V3c. To do that you will have to get a program called motorola phone tools. You should be able to get it from motorola. You can also do what you want with the mem. card. The advantage of getting the phone tools is you can back up you phone book and if you want you can use your phone as a modem. To use it as a modem you will need to get the data plan form alltel for 25.00 a month. well you will need it to avoid going over your min.

ok so i have Motorola Phone Tools, I plug in my phone and it says that it will automatically detect it, and it doesnt. I've tried at least 10 times now. I've restarted my phone and computer. I don't know how else to get this phone to work.

How old is your computer?

Did you ever get it to work?

I have installed MPT 4.3.6c and it's not recognizing my V3m. Drat it all to heck and gone. I did the live update and still no dice. The razr shaped window comes up but it doesn't ever connect, it just stays on the initializing message.

I thought the drivers came with MPT? if not I have the driver set that will work for the phone to use PAM or just to charge it with. if you cant find em shoot me a pm I'll give ya the link and access to my yahoo briefcase so you can download them (handy when I forget my charger

)
search for "motorola driver EU driver installation" version 2.6.2 is what I have and its worked for every pc i loaded it on, then later on installing MPT's i never had an issue

Someone else had this problem. Try deleting your profile on MPT and then making a new one.
