Any reviews of the HS820? I see on Amazon.com it's only 49.00 after a amazon.com rebate...that puts it cheaper then the ebay swines.

HS850's are almost out, you can buy them on ebay even though they are from Europe. I think the only difference is it comes with a power converter to allow you to plug it into your wall. |

The HS850 it's also supposed to have longer battery life, i think Rancid posted a review on the HS850..

I have an HS820. I like it. I picked it over the 810 because I like the "boomless" design. Aside from the boom, and the fact that the 820 is bluetooth 1.2 and the 810 is 1.1 (the new 850 is 1.2) they're pretty much identical from all I've read, although I've never tried the 810 myself. The 820 has excellent sound, and the battery's pretty good (I've gone through a 60-minute conference call, and then used the phone intermittantly for the rest of the day, with no problem). It is vulnerable to wind noise outdoors (I've heard similar complaints about the 810), and I once had problems when I went through a car wash while talking on it (the white noise of the water on the car roof apparently confused it, because the person I was talking to couldn't hear me until I cupped my hand between my mouth and the microphone end of the 820). But otherwise it's worked flawlessly. My one complaint, and this is an area where the 810 may be better, is that turning it on/off with the same multifunction button used for "redial" tends to cause a lot of unintentional calls. It's to the point where I won't turn the headset on or off without the phone open in the other hand so I can see if it tries to call someone and hit "cancel". Aside from that, which is really a nit since you don't turn it on or off that often in normal use, it's great. I've worn it for 6+ hours with no significant discomfort (after that long it does chafe a bit on the inside of the ear). And the voice-recognition dialing by name is just too cool for words. The twenty-first century really is here. I had been going to buy an in-car handsfree kit when I got my V710 last August. After buying the 820 I quickly changed my mind. And after four months with it, I'm never going back to a speakerphone. | |

Since yesterday, Amazon has corrected the page...rebate shows on both now. I guess the 850 is why they are rebating the older models.

Thanks for the info KenS, great feedback. I guess the con with the 810 is it has a moving part, but the pro is, that turns the unit on which seems to help with the issue of just having the one multi function button. I wonder if the true voice dialing works with the V551...that is the phone I am looking to get along with the 810 or 820. I will most likely pass on the 850...but I do like the way th e850 is pushing the price down of the 810 and 820
