Question Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c

This is my phone Motorola RAZR ( CDMA versions v3c ) I can connect to my PC and transfer files, but when I open any P2K programs they all say disconnected. I have read and read post after post and about ready to give up but I will try one more post. All I want to do is delete the pre installed wallpaper/ringtones can anyone tell me what I need and where to get it and installation process? I'm new ,dumb and old PLEASE lead me in the right direction.
I will be forever indebted to you.
THANKS

Seeming Instructions.

1.) Start MSU
2.) connect phone to mini-usb
3.) connect usb to computer - when the ESN Number of your phone shows up, then
you are connected. If MSU starts to update, let it.
4.) Minimize MSU, do NOT exit from MSU, it must be running in the background
5.) Start P2k
6.) Set the following fields:
6a.) Bytes (h) = 0000
6b.) Seem = 2742
6c.) Record = 0001
7.) Click on 'load from phone' button
8.) click on 'save to file' button - it is always a good idea to 'backup'
before you make changes. Give name of file if/when prompted.
9.) Use down/up/side arrows to scroll to the OFFSET you want
10.) Click on the Bit's box to turn it 'on' - checked or 'off' - unchecked.
11.) click on 'save to phone' button
Repeat steps 9, 10 and 11 to change all the SEEM's you want.
12.) exit P2k
13.) Click on 'end' and then exit MSU
14.) disconnect cable from computer, then phone from mini-usb
15.) Then turn off phone for few seconds.

You be done!

Ok, you are talking about at least two different things here and it is confusing as to what you want.

It is a multiple step process to get rid of ringtones and wallpaper.

Any one of these steps can BRICK your phone or make it where it will not work.

First you have to SEEM the phone to turn on the OBEX/QBEX file transfer.
This requires download and installing 3 products.
1) DriverTool: http://www.bvrp.com/Customers/Motorola/DriverTool.zip
2) Motorola Software Update (MSU): https://rsd.motorola.com/download/Mo...are_Update.exe
3) P2k Seem Editor: http://mark.cdmaforums.com/Files/P2KSeem4V710.zip

Next you have to download and install BitPim so that you can copy files over to your PC and delete what you do not want and then copy it back. You can get BitPim here.

All your questions and procedures can be answered by looking through, seaching and reading in the following thread. It is 37 pages long, but it has a lot of vital info. Take notes as your read through it.
