Voice recorder & phone calls -V710

I have a V710 with this odd issue.

I have tried to use the voice recorder during phone calls, and have had odd results.
When I press the recorder button durring a phone call, the phone beeps and starts to record. It sends a periodic beep tone to signal that the call is being recorded. All this seems normal. However when you play back the file, it only records the party on the other end of the call. You hear the other party but not your own voice. This feature should record the whole conversation.
At first I thought maybe it was due to the BT headset, but I have tried it nopw with speaker phone, and conventional earpice use. I get the same results.

I would like to be able to record a call, both sides, so I can get information like directions or other info, and be able to record my response as I repeat the info back.

IS the a way to correct this, or will it get fixed in the new OS release?

I believe that is the way it is designed to work. Not sure why? My old VX-6000 is the same way. I too use this feature for directions and I start recording and then tell the other party to start telling me the directions. Works OK for my when I have used it.
