Hey, everyone. I'm new here. I just got a Motorola Razr V3 today. It looks excellent and it seems pretty good, except I have a couple of questions regarding the device and how it functions: First off, I decided that I wanted to plug it into the charger. When on the charger, the battery indicator is blinking and has one bar. It has been doing this for about an hour now, with maybe about two five-minute periods off of the charger. During those time periods off the charger, the battery indicator showed three bars, until I put it back on the charger, when it went back to blinking and only one. Is this normal? Also, the language seems to be a type of Canadian or British English, whereas I would like "normal" US English spelling on my phone. Is this possible to change? The only two options I have are English, which gives me what I have, and some sort of Asian symbol language. Thanks in advance, ComPro |

yes, as far as i know, that is normal for the battery indicator to do that. my L7 does it also, dont know why tho. what is your language pack? (menu - settings - phone status - other info - language list) mine is british too i think (language list 0024); when i go to messages it says message centre instead of center. you bought your phone unlocked didnt you? you can add different language lists, i havn't got around to it yet. but ill repost a tutorial if you want me to. |

Yes, 0024, and no, I did not buy this phone unlocked. If you can show how to add a new language, that would be great. Thanks. If your battery indicator does the same thing, how do you know when it is done charging? |

You are done charging when the indicator stops flashing. -Jay Quote:

I've had this thing charging for the majority of 3 hours, and it still shows a blinking battery indicator with only one bar while charging, yet while off the charger, it says full.

Well after talking to four Motorola reps that I could hardly understand, I decided to take it up with the place I purchased the phone from. Considering that I received two phones (FamilyTalk account), and the other phone was working perfectly (American English, fully charged), they decided to exchange it. I should be getting a new phone within the next couple of business days. Thanks to those who have responded. EDIT: According to the Motorola reps, the phone should have said "Fully Charged" within those three hours, like the second phone did. |
