Yes I'm sure it is in the right direction because it won't go in the other way. Yes a laptop, and i'm sure it's not the SD adaptor because I have a regular SD card I got out of an old camera and it gets the same error. My PC will recognize there's a giant card in the camera through USB but I can't move files or anything it's almost like it's a read only camera. ARRRGHHHHH

I wish that this phone can take iTunes. I wish Verizon made a deal with Apple like Cingular did! |

yeah they should make a Phano (Nano+Phone) with better battery life. But Is it like this with all of verizon's music phones? Or was verizon just rushed to release this and didn't test their software enough? Well whatever I still like my RAZR it's just a plus for music.

You can not use the WMAs as ringtones. Their tech service folks had a hard time trying to understand what I was trying to do, too. The bottom line was that Verizon wants you to use their service to transfer and get ringtones. There are ways to use MP3s as ringtones, but that does require the use of other P2K programs to set it up. Thanks Dave

Hi everyone, I'm new to the board, and I just recently got the V3m this weekend. I've read the manual and all, but it hasn't been much help with a few of the questions that I have. - I've read about battery problems involving the Razr, and I'm wondering if anyone's having any problems? I had my phone fully charged, and I used it today, minimally. I sent one text message and made two phone calls, and yet, I'm down to 3 bars right now. Does the battery really drain that fast? I had the Samsung a670 (old, old phone, I know), but my 670 could go well over a day's worth of normal usage and texting without draining out one bar on the battery. - I tried playing with the 'display themes' option on the phone, but it changes absolutely nothing. What is this function suppose to change/do? - Is it just my phone or does the date AND time both only show up when the phone is set to ring? I tried switching the phone to vibrate and only the time shows up and not the date. I'm starting to regret the Razr because I feel like it's been slowly driving me crazy since I got it. Your opinions/thoughts/help are greatly appreciated! |

***Hello everybody i just signed up for this forum but i have been around reading all the problems I also ran across the problem with theMotorola RAZR V3m and VCast Music Essentials Kit, The CD they gave me works fine but it seems like it is only has the drivers for the USB Cable, WMP10 if needed and a lame VCast Skin for WMP but no drivers for Phone Itself. Phone powered Off: I plug in my USB cable to my computer and connect the phone to the cable no problems...go to Device manager and shows i have a Motorola UBS Modem Phone powered On: I plug in the USB cable to my computer and connect the phone to the cable...IT THEN shows a bubble on my start menu where the time is and says its trying to install Motorola V3c (I have a V3m not a V3c) so i keep gonig with the wizard when it wants to install the drivers but when it comes down to it Windows XP cant find the drivers for the phone. i then go to device manager and it shows the Motorola V3c on the list but with a yellow circle and a question mark to the front WHAT THE HECK IS WRONG!?!?!? AM I THE ONLY ONE STILL HAVING THIS PROBLEM?? |

I would complain to Verizon Wireless about this problem. The more I hear about it, the worse it gets.

The plot thickens. That's good you talked to the technician about the problem. Let me know the outcome of this issue. I don't have the phone yet, but I'm anxious to know will this software works!

I have spent about 3 hours with many people from Verizon about this same problem. One technician told me that the driver was not actually put on the CD. Twice I was transferred to Motorola to handle the problem. They weren't any help - they don't know anything about the Music Essentials Kit, they say the only way to transfer music is through Motorola's chip docking station thing... Of course, I don't believe that is true. What I don't understand is why nobody at the Verizon stores knows about this problem. Why aren't there tons of people returning the Music Essentials Kit because it basically is worthless without the Driver? Why does it work for some people and not others? I purchsed one, took it back after the Verizon technician told me of the faults and, timidly, attempted to buy another one after the Verizon people told me this is the only way to transfer music and that they never heard of this problem. The second CD I bought, in the Kit, does the same thing (cannot find the driver but the Vc comes up when the USB is plugged in). I can't believe that Verizon isn't addressing this problem on their website. It seems that many people, like myself, are having the same problem. Also, can't they send out a memo or something to all the technicians and Verizon store associates to get everyone on the same page?!? I have spoken to 4 or 5 technicians and each has told me something different. You'd think that since this phone's advantage is that it holds music files (and other media), that they would actually make sure that it could transfer the files. Is anyone else frustrated with the poor communication, negligence and ignorance of Verizon? |

This is what for anyone who bought this phone and the software get together and file some kind of complaint to Verizon Wireless. I started this thread about the V3m. All I read is the complaints about this phone's software. I wonder did the technicians test the software on this phone or not. Something is not right. I don't hear any problems with other VCast phones's software. I wanted to upgrade from my V3C to the V3M. I just waiting to hear something positive about the software, so I won't be stuck installing. You have every right to be angry and fustrated. Anybody who bought this phone's software should call Verizon Wireless and complain. The more complaints, Verizon should respond. If not take it to the FCC!

The Msd card, or Motorola's equivalency of the card, is what Motorola told me is the only way to transfer music to the phone. The simplest thing to do is to probably buy the card, but that still doesn't answer how Verizon can in good faith produce the Music Essentials Kit. Everyone has a USB cable by now and anyone can upgrade to Windows 10 for free so, unless you really want the headphones, there's no other reason to buy the software except for the driver - which you could also download from the link above. However, I really don't want to take out the card and battery every time I want to add/change music, syncing would just be so much easier. Since that is what the product claims to do, I just feel like it should do it.

Hi i finaly got the driver to install for my razr v3m but my problem now is that my media player wont reconize it. I think the problem is because i have media player 11 the public beta but when i downgraded to media player 10 which for some reason it wont let me do again the driver wouldnt install right. And thanks wickdaddy for the tutorial that got me at least this far. Also i had the same thing when i would plug it in it would say V3c and not V3m.
