Is there anyway of doing this without using BitPim? Now that I have 'seem' and MPT working, surely one of those can be used?

One more for Marks forum. An excellent url for Razr V3c and V3m. The 4th paragraph has links to all the following, plus many more. Here are a few: Stock Phone, File formats supported, PC Software, USBSER.SYS info, Seem Edit Process, MPT info, Transflash, Ringers, Graphics, Express Network, BitPim, and PC Bluetooth pages all apply to ALL the V710, E815 and V3C with some minor notes. Even though V3M is not mentioned, it is refered to in almost all the V3C pages and they say that V3c and V3m are identical, exept V3m allows for mutilmedia. http://mark.cdmaforums.com/V3C-1.htm Have fun. |

1.) Even though my 'seem' showed the USB was locked. I left it since I still firmly believe that MPT unlocks the seems and when you are finished using MPT, it locks them back. Maybe on this one, if you are going to use something else other than MPT, you might want to unlock the USB just in case and then try it. 2.) I did not intall the DriverTools nor the mptfix like a lot of others. Now, some did 1 & 2 and their's works fine. It looks like to me there is going to be a lot of 'trial and error' before we get all the kinks out. GET 'ER DONE

also, my media center thing wasnt opening im assuming because it was still running in the background from when i had MPT open previously and had to close it prematurely. i just went into the task manager and ended the process "mmcenter.exe" or some such thing. now that everything works, i just transfered my first ringtone and it works great!

When I go into the test mode menu, after enabling extended engineering menu, I find something called "App Execution Policy". I wonder if it is possible to set the phone to allow unsigned BREW apps? Any thoughts?

WiLLy2900 I really like your Silver V3m logo when you post. How did you do it and where can I get one? I would not mind a different color. The Silver V3m was really my second choice. I was hoping to get the Sky Blue V3m. But after waiting 6 months, (Verizon said the would be getting them in next month, then next month, then next etc...) when Verizon finally said they would not be getting the Sky Blue in, I settled for the Silver. I even thought about getting the Sky Blue replacement cases. Every where you see Silver, can be replaced with another case, which is only 3 pieces. They say it only takes a #4, #5 and #6 torx screwdriver to change them out. |

I used BitPim a couple of years ago for my old Nokia and LG VX6000. Looks like I'll have to go out and get the newest verizon and fire it up. Thanks

Found the brand new V3i GOLD. It's real name if the V3i DG - DG stands for Dolce & Gabbana. Found a write up on CNET. As of the write up, the only way to get it is through Verizon, but available in Asia ONLY. Can you believe that?

Received a couple of emails about some of the links from marks fourm is not working for wallpaper and screensavers. Here is an update for howard's forum: Howard forums has split the wallpapers/screensavers into V3X and the rest of the V3series. The V3X is larger than the other V3's, so get them if you want, and then reduce them down to a smaller size. Also the is a lot more in the V3X section and a lot better quality. http://wiki.howardforums.com/index.p...tom_Wallpapers have fun. |

I posted this on another forum but I do not how to link to it, so here is a repeat. Some of you asked for FREE Java App stuff. Here is a site that offers some. Look on the left side under the banner CELL PHONE STUFF. There is ringtones, screensavers, music, games, wallpapers, JAVA Applications, and more. http://www.cellphonestalk.com/ If you get tired of me posting all these links, let me know. I just thought you might like to have something else to do. |

What did you do? I am am going to guess that you had to turn the battery-saver OFF. With the battery-saver ON, my phone darkens everything out after 10 seconds and I have to press a button to 'wake' it up.

Too much idle time with the cad system Looks like it was set a 200, but that is usually only is important when you're printing images.
