my friend works at a cel phone store and he could hook me up with either a VX-4400 or a T720 for free and i don't know which one to get. i like how the 4400 looks but it is a little bit thicker than the t720. as for the features, it seems that the t720 has more but the vx4400 screen is much better. i also thought the vx4400 would cost more than the t720 retail, but he told me that the t720 is $350 and the vx4400 $300 retail. what are your guys thoughts on these two phones? thanks. |

4400, without a doubt, 4400. If you want a trouble free, great sounding, feature packed phone with great reception, get the 4400. If you want nightmares that will wake you up in the middle of the night screaming "NOOOOO" then get the 720. Research the forums here, you will be able to decide for yourself. I own a 4400 and it is by far the best phone I have owned in the last 13 years.

In January I had a Motorola v60, and had a problem with voice clarity. Every other in comming call had distorted audio to the point where I had to tell the caller to hand up and call me back. My carrier is Verizon. They told me it was a programming error in the switch which they would reset, and the problem would go away. Well, a week later and the problem was still there. I went back again, and they came clean and told me that Verizon was having this problem with the newer Motorolas (v60, 720). I switched to the LG 4400 and love it. My son has the 720. It also is a nice phone, the display is slightly larger than the 4400, but I think audio clarity is much better in the 4400, and my battery lasts at least twice as long as his. He dosn't even get a day out of it. By the way, my son also has problems with distorted audio. Unfortuenately his account is private, not corporate, and so they won't swap his phone in for a working one. Me, I'd stay away from Motorola, and thats from a guy who's has bought only Motorola in the past. Get the 4400. It has the better audio and at least as good if not better reception, and isn't that what a phone is for? The bells and whistles are there, but they're just distractions. |

Give me a Moto, or give me death or it's equivilant... an LG Seriously though, after all the progress with GAGIN and such I'll take a T720. I know you can use most of the games from the t720 on the 4400, but the screen is smaller and therefore cuts off the bottom. With GAGIN I can put custom backrounds in too... I don't think they have been able to do that yet. I do think the 4400 feels more substancial but who cares with a warranty. didn't consider the 9500? |

Craptain - FYI, they have broken the wallpaper issue on the 4400 so you can do that now, but they are still trying to find the correct folder for the 9500.

Take it from me-4400. I have owned both.I have had so many problems with hte t720. One day it wont charge. The next it wont go out of analog. The 4400 has better reception, quality sound. Even though theres a slight problem with the speaker this is being fixed. But def. the 4400

Also, the t720 is quiet. the 4400 is loud. On both the talking and ringtone.

The T720 is definetely one of the WORST phones I've ever owned, I just got mine like 3 days ago, I got it for free so im not complaining when it comes to the money part, but geez... this is phone is buggier and as unfriendly as a rotting carcass, i sure do hope motorola gets a new team of Menu-Navigation programmers; WHERE'S THE UPDATES!? Ohh yeah an LG rep told me the speaker distortion issue is a flash upgrade away coming to a store near you. 65k resolution(vx44) or 256 colors (T720) hrmm reminds me about deciding between Sega Genesis and Super Nintendo...
