OK, so I went into each individual phonebook entry to assign a ringtone, however, it now uses that ringtone both for calls AND text messages, and doing that seems to over-ride whatever tone I've put in for text messages. This means I get the same (long drawn out!) ringtone for messages that I also get for people calling me. So although you can tell who is trying to reach you, you can't tell whether it's a call or a text message. And obviously, you don't want the full length of a long ringtone for a text message alert. Could this be a fault with my phone or has anyone else had the same problem...?
