I have a friend who works in the verizon wireless store and she told me that if I go to the store and tell them I want to trade in my standard battery and get an extended battery, they will do it. The standard battery is worth $39.99 and the extended battery is $59.99. The extended battery gives 4 hours talk time as opposed to the standard battery at 130 minutes. They will charge the $20 difference plus tax, but I think it is worth it. I did it today and I am most pleased. Give it a try and let us know what you think. I had the free battery (original size) that we got, still sealed in the box, and the dopes behind the counter refused to let me exchange it for the extended life model. I doubt they'd do anything for me with a used battery, except share that blank stare again. To anyone in the area, don't bother with the Verizon store in Pontiac, MI. They've been nothing but useless, uninformed, and difficult to work with. |
