I saw a lot of pictures of phones, and on the screen it says "Enter Sim Card". What is a Sim Card, and why isn't it already entered?

Not all phones support them.....only the newer models. A Sim card is a little chip that is inserted behind the battery......it can store all your personal information such as (phone number, your address book, etc......) Then when you want to upgrade your phone or switch phones, all you do is take the sim chip out of your old one and stick in your new one. All your info is transfered over to the new phone via the chip and you don't have to type in all your contacts again or have your phone number set up on the phone. It's all pretty much done for you. Another thing it will let you do.........if your battery is dead for instance......but your friends phone supports Sim Chips, you can take yours out and put it in your friends phone and any calls you make will be billed to you and not him. Pretty cool stuff. |

Does the T720 support SIM cards? I haven't seen anything about one in the manual... so I'm guessing not. Thanks! -Druminese |

i dont think you can insert a sim card on the t720.. go to asian coutries, like in the philippines... becoz almost all the people in there that has a cellphone, supports sim card.. coz they dont do monthly bills in there... (rich people only do those bills)... so if i were you, ask someone from one of the asian country friends out there... they know everything about sim cards...

Only GSM phones use SIM cards, TDMA, CDMA don't. Cingular (converting to GSM from TDMA), T-mobile (all GSM), and AT&T (converting from TDMA) are the major GSM carriers in the U.S.A. |
