Default v710 Bluetooth Fix Out Yet

Has VZW released the new s/w so that we can fully exploit Bluetooth yet?
Thanks.

Not that I am aware, I heard it was coming in November and I am not sure they are going to completly fix the bluetooth.

This is getting ridiculous. I love my v710, as I've posted elsewhere, but this phone is becoming the V7WAIT.

At this rate they'll probably release the update within the next 20 years!!

Rumor has it Verizon started testing the update finally! Mid November is looking more like late November now for a release.

are you referring to more uses for the bluetooth than just the typical headset?

The article I read said the update will only allow BT syncing for data and phonebook and not pictures and files.

So I dunno about fully functioning BT yet. But the pot to crack it is up to $2578.00.

I think I may buy one anyways because verizon has the best service in Denver, but am still weary, I want to sync my pocket pc with phone book NO CABLES, hopefully this update will work for everyone. Crappy that it is verizons only BT phone.

I just hope I can drop it once a day and it hold up like my v60. Hopefully the camera will still work, I just need it to take reference pictures (so people know what I am talking about when I show them)

I've dropped mine twice. Once from 2' on asphalt (minor scuff mark and a nick in the ring around the lens, but no real damage) and once from 3' onto carpet tile (battery went flying, and the phone mysteriously turned itself off two hours later, but it's been fine since then). The phone has apparently suffered nothing more than cosmetic damage (about as much as my old StarTac did from similar falls, although a bit more noticeable on the shiny case).

So, while it's not as robust as, say, a StarTac (you could drive a car over one of those, not that I did), it's not as delicate as it looks. Or maybe I was just lucky.
