Does anyone have the freeup (prepaid) account with the Moto T720? Can you please tell me if you are able to use the "Get It Now" features because mine does not sign on to it but I still have the old 17p version of the phone. Supposedly the T720 is suppose to but I think I need the enhanced one. Or do you have to have the Motorola T720pp because then thats not fair because I bought mine before that came out and I believe it is exactly the same phone except it allows Get It Now to work on Freeup. Also can they flash mine so that it has the Freeup softwear if thats the case. Please tell me what I should do because I would like to be able to use those features. -Thank you. |

I don't have it, nor do I know anyone with it, but I'd imagine if you have a Verizon T720 and can't access get it now (but want to) then verizon SHOULD be delighted to hook you up with a version that will will give you access, after all, it's money for them. Assuming they have flash access now I'd think they could put the T720pp software on it and let it run, but that's just a guess. Go hassel them a little bit with "I'll spend lots of money on Get it Now if you can set me up" and see what they do |

in a nutshel YES! i actually found this out on accident i used to have a kyocera 3035 on my post paid account, then i "upgraded" to a t720. Then i gave my old 3035 to my wife and put it on prepaid. Much to my suprise she is able to use and download new get it now apps. So it is my guess that you can use a 720 with get it now on prepaid. I think the problem your having is with your software version. 17p has problems with GIN. You should be able to go into a verizon direct store and get you phone flashed to the latest software version 19d i think. Happy Downloading i also found another "glitch" with GIN and free-up my wife ran out of air time but was still able to Dl new apps and ringtones ect..ect.. i wonder if this is a glitch VZW is aware of...he..he hope this help ya | |

I believe if you buy the T720, you need to buy the one specifically for FreeUp. It has the Get It Now options as far as I know. Good luck with it.
