Does anyone know how to sync either the phone book, or the calendar, in a T720 with the address or calendar apps on a Palm PDA? This would presumably be with a direct cable connection between them. Failing that, how about syncing with Palm Desktop on a Mac running OS X? Thanks |

All you need is the Mobile Office Kit, thats what CINGULAR calls it anyway. I think Verizon has a different name for it . If you buy it direct from MOTOROLA it's called a DATA Connect Kit. THey are all the same thing: Starfish Truesync software and data cable. If you are running XP make sure you get Version 3.1 to have the correct USB driver. If you happen to get the older software, 3.1 is a FREE upgrade from the Starfish website. If you happen to have the data cable you can get the software for free off the web. Good luck, hope this helps. |

FWIW, I just used the Starfish sync program for my T720 today and did a sync w/ Palm Desktop on Win XP. It's a nice tool and saved me lots of time that I normally would have spend manually entering phone #'s. One thing, though, the software creates a separate entry for all phone #'s. For example, you may have 3 phone #'s listed for 1 contact in your Palm Desktop. After synching, you'll have 3 separate entries in your phone, at least that was how the T720 and V60 work. Even though there can be multiple phone #'s for a single entry when manually entering a phone #, that doesn't occur when synching. So, if you don't mind the extra entries, it's a nifty tool. I got the software and cable for $29.99. It's called a USB data kit #98326. It's the same one that's used for the Mot. V60, 270, 280, V66 and 120. |

If you change your settings on your phone to show primary contact only, it will hide the other entries. you can scroll to them by using the right arrow key on the phone to access the other numbers
