I bought what I thought was an unlocked phone on ebay a T720i
When I powered it up it said T-Mobile insert sim. So I inserted my sim from cingular and it asked me for a subsidy password.

So I did a search on "Subsidy password" and it brought me here.

I have no idea what this is and how to get it, the seller has not returned my emails yet. I really want to use this phone ASAP.

Thanks for any assistance you may give.

The seller just got back to me, said he will get the subsidy password for me tomorrow.
I still don't know what a subsidy password is though....anyone?
