When the T720 first came out for Verizon, I thought at $199 after rebate it was a good deal for a color phone. Now that it's $49.95 after rebate, I think it's a great deal. I'm new here and before I knew about this site I had a theory that Verizon was trying to dump these phones onto the market because they had better ones coming out and after finding out about the Samsung SCH-A530, Kyocera 7135 and LG VX-4400, that seems to be the case. I've read a lot of posts about problems with the T720 and many people returning them to go back to their old phone or a different phone but yet Verizon is obviously selling them like crazy at that price. My LG-TM510 died and I just got the insurance replacement in the mail since it was out of warranty. I was considering selling the replacement on eBay and getting something else. I'm really interested in the Kyocera 7135 and the Samsung SCH-A530 but I'm not sure if I should wait for them so I was considering getting the T720. I'm not 100% sold on the T720 even at a price of $49.95, especially if I'm going have a lot of headaches with it. So is it worth getting or do you think I should wait for the other phones? Thanks.

Verizon loves the concept of forcing customers to pay for every farking thing. You know how at McDonald's, smiles are free? At Verizon, smiles are available for an extra monthly fee. Hear that Verizon? I hope some of you biatches are reading this. Anyway, I digress. The T720 had technical issues that are quickly disappearing thanks to software updates. It's a great phone, but expect nearly all the functionality you paid for to be locked away by the greedy bastards at Verizon. But then again, if you're going to choose between a T720 and some other phone at Verizon, I would expect them to disable nearly any type of phone unless you signed your life's savings away to do things that you should be able to do for free (such as download ringtones without paying a monthly subscription.) I expect that you can tell how tired I am, by the tone of this post. |

Overall I have no big problems with the phone. Every now and then the signal strength is weaker than it should be (compared to my old V60c but then again the V60c was juss exceptional when it came to signal strength) Other than that I love the phone. It is DEFINITELY worth $49. I would definitely pick it up but only get the 1 year contract.
