Is there any new promotional plans for text messages? I just got off the phone with a verizon rep at customer service. I was paying 1.99 or 2.99 for unlimited text. They said the promotional plan is about to run end in December. They said it'll be 2.99 a month for 100 test messages. I think that's hella lame.

AT&T has 100 messages for $5 plus $0.10 for additional messages (or no monthly fee, but $0.10 per message). Even $2/mo for unlimited would be nice, but I haven't seen any providers with any decent services like that. :-/

Last time I checked T-mobile had 500 messages for $2.99...That's probably the best deal going right now.

I mostly receive messages so it is cheaper for me to just pay the $0.02 per message. I do think the $3/100 message is crap.

for a dollar more you get 200 which still isnt that great, but its better than most (except T-mobiles deal, but their overall plans kinda suck)

I think that depends on how often you send/receive test messages. I usually use about $1.50 worth of test messages so I'm not planning on signing any thing. I don't think the $3/100 messages is bad, but I think it's crap that Verizon charges $0.02 to receive text messages.
