I've had my T720 for a few days now and have been downloading ringtones, graphics etc. I know there is a limited space for Java applications etc but is all the memory compartmentalized like this? For example, there is memory for the phonebook, voice dialing, voice shortcuts, voice notes, java games and apps, ringtones, and pictures. I know how to check the voice mail memory and java memory and I've used up the voice dialing mem (10 entries) but how do I check the memory left for ringtones and wallpaper? Also, is there any way to lump all this memory together so I can tailor it to better fit my needs? |

I have downloaded 12 Ringtones, 4 backgrounds, 1 animation, and Tony Hawk 4 for a game. I wanted Tiger Woods, so payed for it, and then tried to download it, and I got the insufficient memory message. I tried to get a refund, based on the fact that I couldnt download it cuz I didnt have room, but they denied me, stating it was a one time pay, and that I could download it for no charge anytime after I had already payed. So, I deleted all my custom ringtones to make room, and then tried to download it again, and I got the same error message. SO, I erased TOny Hawk, (i really wanted tiger bad!) and then I donwloaded, and it went through. So, the answer is, yes it is compartmentalized. Games are at least seperate from ringtones, in my experience. This conclusion is based on the fact that I still didnt have room after I deleted 108K of ringtones, and the game is less than that. I should have had room after I deleted the ringtones if it was the smae memory. |

to be more specific.... The T720 has approximately 1 megabyte of memory. 700kb for Java Applications (games and the like) 300kb for EMS (ringtones, pictures, screensavers and the like) |
