HELP. I need to reinstall TrueSync. I purchased the verizon kit for my v60. I now have the t720 and a laptop that I want to sync with. The disk is broken. I mean smashed. Is ther anyplace that I can purchase the truesync software. I do not want to buy the whole kit again. Thanks!

Thanks. I downloaded this last night but it is only the upgrade. I could use it on my home pc witht eh original install already there but is is not a complete install. I need the original install for my laptop as the cd is smashed. Any idea if I can buy or download the full original install? I just need the program as I already have the cable from when I originally purchased the kit. Thanks again.

Here is a link i found to the full version 2.x. Its 79 Megs

Then after you install that you can upgrade to 3.1

v3.1 us SO much better then 2.1 I just upgraded, it syncs my v60i to Outlook in under 5 seconds with USB. I was taking me 1-2 minutes with v2.1. The interface is also set up alot better.

Thanks! That is very generous of you. I ended up finding the software which I installed on my laptop. Here is the new issue if anyone can help. The t720 is recognized as such by WinXP home but no driver is installed. When I installed truesync and then the 3.1 upgrade I get a no available com port error (using usb cable). So a) I have no t720 driver for windows and 2) I have no available com port. The weird thing about the com port issue is that I have no peripherals installed right now. I have MS Activsync for my ipaq but is is on com 3. Any ideas?
You are all incredibly helpful. This is one of the best forums I have used!

Connect your USB cable plug your t720, turn it on, then go to Control panel and then to hardware, then devices, then see if you have any conflicts, that would be the reason that the software can't find the phone.

Got the 720 and Truesync working with my Xp laptop. I installed the phone as a motorola usb modem and then ran the truesync wizard. It found the phone and installed it to com port 3. All is working. Very cool. Thanks for all of the help.

Does anyone else have another site with the software on it? This one isn't working well at all. I can connect but I can't download the file. All I got is the first 124k of the file.

Try it again, I had the same problem, I just ried a few times. Or use another browser like MOZILLA instead of Internet EXPLODER.

Also, if you have WS_FTP or CuteFTP, you can just connect to the ftp directly, without using a web browser.

I just d/l the update and it says I have to uninstall the previous version since it's a different language (both are english though)... Did anyone else have this problem?

I am using CuteFTP to download it, I connect fine but when I try to download the file it starts but no date flows. It just gets stuck there at 0.00kb/s

The FTP Link did finally work and I got the download.

Now - I can not get the software to install: I go through the driver download...nothing happens..I then try to install the TrueSync software for the V60 and nothing happens.

I'm using a T720 - any idea how you can get this sofware to install so I can use the update??

I had the same problem. Did you have your phone connected when you tried to install? I didn't (no cable yet) and wondered if that was the reason why my install didn't work.

Its a long story but I'll summarize:

I got the Verizon Mobile Office Kit. That is the cable and some Sync software for the contact list only - no sync for Calendar.
The Veriszon stuff worked great, XP found the phone..identified correctly as a T720.

Then I installed the TrueSync software from the FTP sight. I suspect that the drivers here don't work with the T720, as nothing happens. I also suspect that the installation program is expecting to see something that indicates a connection was made however I have no idea really.

Anyway, the phone is 'talking' to my laptop, with the Verizon Kit, but I can not get TrueSync to install, which means I can't get the calendar application to sync...which is what I really wanted.

Anyway, hope that helps....

Same thing is happening to me. I have a t720, but I still have all of my phone #s in my old 270C. I tried installing the USB drivers with the 270C connected and it seemed to work (found motorola USB modem) and it sees it everytime I connect/disconnect it.

The problem, however, is that I can't get it to install truesync. I click on the 270c and it doesn't do anything. Heck, I click on ANY phone and it doesn't do anything. I even tried executing the files in the truesync directory....

Anyone have a solution?

Did you get the software from the FTP site? I'm wondering if something in that version is disabled?

Anyone know of a different source for the software? Can you it be downloaded for a fee anywhere?

An update...

I proceeded to download the *.iso from the ftp site and it was able to install after burning the disc... the only problem now is I am getting the Different Language Issue from the plus 3.1 upgrade.

I only wish I could find the CD that came with my cable!!
