OK I can certainly help. First, lets tackle the 4, 8, and 16 AFTER the note. Those stand for quarter, eigth, and 16th notes. However, there is a limitation in the editor for the v60i... it wont let you use anything more than quarter notes. That is why a lot of rigtones sound too slow. There is a way around this however, kinda. In a tone that you see 4, 8, and 16.... you can get around the limitation by simply using whole(w), half(h), and quarter(q) notes respectively. You alternate between these settings in the editor by repeatedly pressing the "0" key. Press it once and get a "q"(stands for quarter) twice a "h"(half) and 3 times a "w"(whole). So evertime you see a 4 press "0" once to use a quarter note. Lets explain a little differently this way this is the general format.... (octave)(note){accidental}(duration) so you can program your own rigtones! The octave is by default(if nothing is entered byt he user) 2 but i always but the octave anyways for clarification. The octaves are rotated thru by repeatedly pressing the "1" key. Press once for first octave, twice for second, and thrice for third. So to play an f# in the 1st octav as a half note I would need... (1)(F){#}(h) it would appear in your phone as 1F#h and would be ONE note the next note you type is NOT separated by a space so reading them gets a bit confuding. The keystrokes on the phone for the above not is exactly this... 1333700 {you get the accidental '#' by pressing the 7 key) so when you read rigtones sometimes they are keystrokes, like the one below... in that case the spaces are not typed intot he phone but there for the reader just to let them know the rests and the notes. It eases readability. Do NOT type the spaces into the phone. Here is a GREAT site to get more ringtones.... http://mywebpages.comcast.net/rifraf/music.htm If you really plan on sending me the rigtone decoder that would be GREAT. just send everything to pagaporcristo@netscape.net also feel free to contact me there with any more questions you might have! Thanks for the decoder! *Pagaporcristo |

one more thing! The stars and periods just represent a separator for the different notes and rests. treat them as spaces and IGNORE them. Dont type them, into the phone.

Thanks for the reply... I'm sorry... i'm very slow on this... I still don't get it... if there's a 4,5,8 or a 16 then what key do I use to replace these numbers? by the way, i just sent you the link to dl the converter, cuz the converter file is big that was why I can't send it to you through email. I can send it to your streamload account if you want... or just check your email and dl it. I will delete this file next month or so to save space for other files...
