I just can't take it anymore!!!! Anyway, I'm looking at two models right now, namely: Motorola V60i and Motorola V Series 60c... can anyone tell me what's the difference between the two? which one do you guys recommend? Or should I just stick with the T-720? Thanks!!! |

Whatever you do dump the 720. The v60i is a newer model of the v60 series. It has some games, changeable covers an improved antenna design, a new higher capacity battery and supposed to have improved battery life. If you get the v60 Verizon will upadte the software to the v601 series giving you the games. Hope this helps. |

Hiya UNwired, i caught your lil OkeeNeeNam at the bottom of your thread there...hehehe...Anyway i have the v60i and i like it alot, i do know that that v60i is an upgrade to the v60c so it would be more realistic i'd think to get the 60i instead of the c being that it is a newer one with newer software. You might want to also go to phonescoop.com and see the differences and according to all i have read here alot of people have had problems with the v60c's software. I've had my 60i for lil over a week and i love it. It's a really good phone and you should read up on it further. Signal strength is strong, voice quality is good, sound clarity is good as well! Thank god i did'nt get the T-720 it was a toss up between the v120e, the T-720 and the v60i, its a dang good thing i chose the v60i with all the complaints i have heard about the 720! Anyway i hope this helps even if just a lil!!

Well, I am doing a bit more research about the V series (unlike the T-720 which I bought because of pretty colors... geez) I think I'm gonna go with the v60i... Do you guys know if I can transfer my phonebook from the T-720 to the V60i? Aloha! | |

You should call your local verizon office and ask them because i know it came be done but im not sure if it's from the same model phone to the next..... v60i HIGHLY recommended!!! "Can you hear me now? Good!!" hehehe

Too bad you couldn't wait a while. There is a new v60e model that you can read about on this forum that has some nice improvements over the v60i. But it could be a little while before it is released. If it ends up too expensive I will end up going with the v60i myself. Have Cingular now and so sick of the weak signal. Best of luck with your new phone.

I want to know myself. As soon as I can I want to get this phone for my FREEUP service, whether thru Verizon store, or when there is a FREEUP package for the T720 (which is coming...) and just use up the minutes on it, then switch the phone to my account. In fact my cousin sitting next to me said it's $280 for FREEUP...hoping I can get that price, then with mail in rebate....and sell my phone I should be OK. So please Unwired what is so bad about this phone.

personally i have the T720 (on Verizon using 19C software) and love it.. no major problems besides the low battery usage.. The T720 can drain the battery pretty fast.. but i ordered the Extended battery and that elivated the problem greatly. Besides the battery life, the only other major complaint i would have would be the fact that you cannot download new wallpapers etc to the phone, but hopefully that will be solved in the future. |

most of the T720 problems are associated with the CDMA version of the phone... so u know what I did? I bough the GSM version... it rocks. maybe thats an option? no software, battery or other wierd stuff has ever happend to me and my GSM T720.... |

I bought the T720 the first day it was available and returned it 7 days later for performence reasons (many which have already been posted in other threads). Exchanged it for the V60i and have no complaints. Until the T720 is replaced it will be the reference point for crappy Motorola hardware. |

There is nothing wrong with the GSM (T-Mobile) version of the t720. Actually, the t720 that T-Mobile is offering is called the t720i. They must have upgraded some things.

i bought my verizon t720-19c a week ago, and have had nothing but smiles. ill be patient and wait till the data kit is released to download pics and better tones than the get-it-now B.S. the only problems were easily worked out: low battery: can be rectified if folks would stop being so mesmerized by the display and try not to keep it open all the time, my battery lasts all day (full work and class schedule) with juice to spare, if the backlight settings are lowered to less time and i dont use the phone for looking at pics. the speaker volume was bumped to satisfying, though not as gr8 as my lg510 which i could easily hear in a club. by changing a setting somewhere (i cant remeber where but theres ample posts about it on this board) to vocoder13 i believe |

Okay, I just got my brand spankin' new Motorola v60i... So far so good, it's seems to live up to my expectation. As far as looks goes, I already miss my old T-720 (don't get me wrong, the v60i is definitely up there, when it comes to looks). I really love the nice "glassy" look of the T-720 button. (as oppose to the rugged look of the v60i)... Well, I only got this for a day, so not much real world test yet, but like I said, so far so good. Oh, one thing I don't like about the v60i is the holster. It fits the phone so tight, that it's very difficult to take it off. And because the button for the back cover also sit next to the slot, everytime I take it out, the button get depressed and the back cover gets loose. You guys have this kind problem? Is there a third party holster out there that they sell?? Aloha!!! |

Yay i see you got it!! I hope you will like it! True it does'nt look as slick as the T-720 but looks are'nt always that important now is it? hehehe... The v60i doe'snt look to awefully bad but according to all the complaints bout the T-720 i'd take that one over it any day. Anyway enjoy your new phone and good luck with it as well.
