Unfortunately the answer is "no"......well at least for now it's "no". I know there is a way to change the 'welcome' & 'turn-off' screen, it's probably something embedded in the programming menu (possibly the NAM1 or NAM2). However, this phone just came out recently and I don't think any of us on the board are familiar enough with the interface to tweak things in the programming menu. Personally I don't think the welcome screen is that awful but that's just my opiniont though. angela |

There is no way to turn those sounds off, however, if you have the phone set to vibrate either in 'vibrate' mode or 'loud' mode (in which case you press side button followed by zero), the phone powers up/down with a vibrate instead.

the best answer i can suggest to make your phone not show your number on power-up is to have the phone lock when its booted up. it forces the phone user to enter the unlock code *before* it will show what the number is. You can accomplish this by going to: - menu (center button) - Settings - Security - Phone Lock - Automatic Lock AFAIK, when the phone is locked, you can still dial 911 and other pre-programmed emergency numbers, ie 611 for customer service. At least with verizon, the default security code is the last 4 of your phone number. |

Or set to vibrate....If you make a welcome note, I don't think it displays your number

The answer you have been looking for: In "STYLE Details" set the key sound to "0". This will silence the power on/off tones. j |

Doing this won't silence the power on/off tones - it will only silence noise from being made when pressing the phone keypad. The only way to silence the tones is to change the ring style of the phone to either vibrate/silence.
