Trying to find original steel/silver cover for V60i

I contaced Motorola and they do not sell the original silver/steel cover for the V60i's. Also the covers I found on ebay are for the for the slim battery, the V60i that I have from ATT has the hi-perf battery. I also contacted ATT to see if they have any covers and the person that I spoke told me that they don't have any in stock yet for the V60i's cause they just got the phones, probably by the end of the week. But I'm figuring they will just carry the optional colors only. Any ideas where to find the original steel/silver cover for these phones?

Yeah I'm pretty sure of it. The motorola rep told me that they are not selling the silver cover, just the 5 optional covers. He then continued to say that I may call my service provider, which in my case is ATT and that they maybe able to get one for me. I'm gonna go check that thread out now, thanks.

Just confirmed it with Motorola again... This rep exactly took his time to help me out and Motorola is no longer selling the silver cover anymore. All you can get is the original silver battery door, the front is not being sold anymore.

Did you read the page I listed? The guy called and got one.

Yup.. Read that page and took his advice. Called the 800 number for their Repair line. The first person I spoke to was able to find a part number just for the back cover, nothing for the front. Called again to get a different operator, she was pretty helpful, found out that it is replaceable however she told me that in order for me to get it I have to send my phone in for repairs. WTH!!! No thanks, can't be without a phone becuase of a simple cover. I'm gonna try to call a level 3 repair place for Motorola tommorrow and see what happens. Also talked to one of the local At&t places around here and they just got in a shipment of covers for the V60i and in there is supposdly replacement oem covers too. Going to check that out tommorrow before work.

If you search EBay for "Motorola v60i color" you'll get lots of choices.

Look for faceplate SYN0429. That's the OEM brushed metal cover set. I bid one up this morning, and it seems the reserve price is the same as the "buy it now" price. Bite the bullet, and buy it for $19.99 plus shipping.

Your total shipped cost should be $25. Consideringh that VZW sells them for $25 plus tax, it's not a bad deal.

Mine's on its way.
