Default Closing the V60i

Does the V60i end the call when closing the cover? In looking at the V60i manual I see no reference to this although it seems to disconnect.
I just dropped Sprint for Verizon and so far so good. I noticed my airtime is very high on Verizon compared to Sprint without a significant change in calling pattern. I am waiting for a detailed bill to have a look.
My old Sprint 8500 ended the call when you closed the cover. I am thinking that if it doesn't disconnect this could explain my high airtime.

Thanks.

I have a v60t, and I'm guessing the functionality will be about the same. When I close the phone it hangs up, UNLESS I have a headset attached. The easiest way to check is just open it back up. the counter should stop running (if you have it enabled) and it should go back to the ready state.

I have the V60i and it definitely ends the call when closed.

There is actually a setting you can adjust as to whether you want the call answered when you open it, but I don't think you can adjust the end/close setting, it just ends the call.

BigBird is right the v60i will end the call when you close the flip. the only thing that you may change is whether or not it will auto answer when you open the phone. you can set it to answer on open or answer when you press any key.

Another way to confirm that closing the flip has disconnected your call, is to look at the external display. If the call is still connected, the call timer will be running. If it has been disconnected, you should see the time and date.

Of course, as others have said, opening it to see the same information will also confirm status. If a headset is connected, you MUST hit END or use the smart key: PRESS then PRESS AND HOLD until you see "call ended" and hear the appropriate tones.

Thanks. I thought closing would end the call and tested it and confirm. I guess it was just left out of the manual.
Now I need to find out why my minutes are so high!

Also, Depending on how long you have been with Sprint, you might want to check when your night minutes started with them. I was with Sprint for about 3 years, so back when I signed up the night minutes started at 7:00 P.M. That stayed the same throughout my time with Sprint. Now all of the cell phone companies (including Verizon, I know) start their night minutes at 9:00 P.M. That could be a reason why your minutes are so high.

I have Verizon, and night (offpeak) rates start at 8:00pm for me.... And I just updated my plan a few months ago. I can see all calls in the call-details report after 8:00 being applied to my off-peak minutes. I think the time varies with plan/region. I'm in California with America's Choice plan + unlimited night/weekends + mobile web.
