Default Replacement antenna for V60g

Does anyone know how to remove teh antenna on the V60g? And if so, how do the replacements work? I have seen all of the other V60's covered here, but NOT voicestreams model for aftermarket antennas.
Thanks,
Brian

Why do you want to remove it?

The antenna on our v60g broke off at the base and we can't unscrew it or get the old pieces out to install the new one. Any ideas?

It's tricky but the antenna is removeable. There are three visible parts to the V60g antenna: the base (about 3 mm thick), a thin washer (about 1 mm thick) and the long top part. Put some tape on the washer and top part (to protect from scratches) and then carefully turn counter-clockwise with a pair of needle-nose pliers. The washer and top part will loosen and can then be removed.

I don't know how well aftermarket antennas work but I'll soon find out now that I've learned how to remove the oem one!

Just because you're clumsy with tools doesn't mean the steps above don't work.

Here's a thread from another forum that explains the same procedure (it's long, but keep reading it). http://www.howardforums.com/showthre...threadid=43119
