ok for those seriously interested in how to do this, you need a lot more than a code: 1. Find a cute chick at the RadioShack in your mall (hey, there was one at mine, sorry if you're SOL) 2. Flirt with her 3. Buy the V710 from her so she gets a ton of commission. 4. Viola! She is very eager to help you. 5. Get RS Girl to call her magical skip-the-idiot tech support #'s 6. Give her your company ID and a pay stub. 7. She faxes 8. She calls back the magical number 9. You get your discount.

Wrong answer.... it doesn't work. I work at the Shack and our policy won't allow that. You have to order it directly from Verizon to get an account, or if your coming to the company, you have to have your phone for over a few months to get it transfered to an employee account and our Reps keep an eye out for employees who have left the company....... So for those of you that thought you might get away with it.... not gonna happen.

That may have been true when there wasn;t certain things needed to start up an account, but Sprint policies are a LOT different than Verizon. Sprint, you fax a sheet verifing that you want an account; Verizon, you have to talk directly to your rep. I know, I tried this. I wanted two accounts with either Sprint or Verizon. I almost got away with it with Sprint, but after the first month, I was called and had to transfer to a regular customer account. Just passing the info along.....

I had a corporate account set up with my v60i, when I bought my new v710 the verizon people just transferred my corporate discounts to my new contract. I did not receive a discount on the telephone itself other than the $70 rebate and my $100 new every two discount. I was able to purchase all of my accessories on my corporate verizon web site at a 15 to 20 percent discount. The blue tooth ear piece was priced at 79.99 and with my discount I paid 59.99, ect. ect. Such a deal! mb |
