Default HS820 Problem

The last time I used my HS820 headset was about two weeks ago... and a week ago I tried using it but it wouldn't turn on for some reason. I knew it wasn't dead because I took it right off the charger and tried using it. So I tried again today and it still won't turn on. It's fully charged, never been dropped, never touched water, and I don't know what to do. Any help?

Couple things I can think of. My HS800 doesn't work *immediately* after I pull it off the charger. I have to wait about 5 seconds before opening it. Also, try "resetting" the headset by hooking it up to the charger for a few seconds, then disconnecting it. Do you get a light while its charging? Can you re-pair the devices? Once in awhile my headsets go completely berserk and have to be re-paired.

I tried all the things you listed and my headset still refuses to turn on. And yes, the light does turn on when charging which is why it's even more puzzling on why it won't turn on...

For what it is worth Gideon, I returned two of these HS820s to radio shack for similar mysterious problems....especially "low bluetooth signal" errors despite the headset being only two feet from the phone and fully charged.

I am in search of an alternative device. However, it is nice to have a Moto headset that charges from the same plug as the phone.

You guys are getting me nervous. I just ordered one from Verizon Online for what I thought was an amazing price of $51.99. I hope it works well. I here the Jabra 250 is excellent.

I'm just going to call Motorola because I didn't spend $100 for a Bluetooth headset for it to sit on my desk and not turn on...

Wow talk about digging-up old threads! Well, let me give a follow-up on what happened with mine. I basically had it traded-in for a black one, and then I sold the black one to somebody... (Did I sell it to you, Aaron, with my v600?)

Hi,

I tried holding the MFB button for 8 secs trying to switch it on, but it wouldn't.

When i plug it to the charger the light is on and gets charged.

But i am unable to switch it on.Anyhelp regarding this.

Leave it plugged in 'till the light goes out (fully charged). Disconnect the charger. Then try holding the button down to turn it on. If the light doesn't flash, or come on then you have a defective/broken unit. Take it back to the store if you are still within the 1 year warranty period.

Yep. Got the v600 and HS820 in the same package. I'm glad you had the black one, it'll match the v620 Tony E sold me which arrives today.
