Default Weird Phone Problem

In the last 2 days i have been experencing a very werid problem. I have been experencing a strange cracking noise coming out of the earpiece during phone calls. The weird part it doesn't happen all the time. I tried calling different numbers and during some phone calls it happens and others it doesn't. Now i've narrowed it down to this. It only happens when i call someone who has tmobile, cinguar, att (digital and gsm). It works fine for other verizons, sprint, and nextel. I even tried doing a esn change to another 710 and the same thing happens. Anyone ever experience this before or any advice.

BTW: I tried *228 option 1 and option 2 They didn't work!!

Have you called VZW tech support? There could be a problem with the tower or the switch handling your calls.

This is more than likely a service issue and nothing wrong with your handset. A call to Verizon should let you know if others in your area are experiencing the same issues, worst case if you think it's just you go to a VZW store and exchange your phone for a new one.

I have a similar sound, but it is constant. It sounds tinny and a little staticy, even when I have full signal and the person i'm talking to can here me crystal clear. I have also noticed that it is more clear on speakerphone then through the headset speaker. Do you think I need to take it back? It is livible to me I guess, I thought it was just a defect or downside to all the v710s... hey maybe my speaker is cracked or something... any advice???
