Believe me, this isn't just another "my friend heard from a guy" threads. One of my really good buddies is a sales associate for Verizon here in San Diego, and yesterday they had a kickoff party. The LG 4500 launches today, the Kyocera Slider is coming in March, and Motorola has a camera phone coming out that is, in my friend's words, "sleeker than the v400 with a scrolling external display nicer than the v400." Unfortunately the Motorola will not be out until third quarter, so we have like 6 months to wait still. |

Motorola has more than one camera phone coming out for Verizon, that has been known for awhile. But I highly doubt they would show a prototype of a phone that won't launch for more than 6 months to a sales associate.

Especially since passing that sort of news along would almost certainly torpedo the v810.

I think the V810 should be boycotted.....compared to the V300, V400, etc...it looks like a toy. If they can't put any effort into the R&D of the phone....they should be made to eat all of them. IMHO

Don't worry, the chances this phone will ever get released in North America are getting slimmer every day. The Koreans who developed it f***ed it up real good. Whoever thinks outsourcing is the wave of the future, I give you this phone as a prime example of how it can go horribly wrong. March will be when many new CDMA cell phones are announced by Motorola and many other companies at the annual trade show in Atlanta.

Is that who was responsible for the T-Series, the Koreans?? Someone tell Bush there are terrorists there!!! Hey Bono, I thought there was a "reason-to-get-excited" slated for 2nd Quarter, not third. That still on track?? |

Whose third quarter? The US government is already in the 2nd quarter. Motorola just started the first. Everything is on track. Although I have no idea what it is you speak of.

If you've had a bad experience with VZW, there are a lot of people here who will sympathize. But others will be more apt to take your side if your argument consists of more than "Verizon SUX They don't have the cool phons and my calls get dropped!!!" (misspelling intentional - also, imagine a few dozen emoticons scattered in that sentence.)

who cares, if it works for you in your area for what you need, it's the best. for you. verizon works great for me in/around atlanta and seveal cities across the country. i have been to places where verizon was the only company with coverage, and also to places where verizon had no coverage. it's all where and how you use your phone. at least now if you decide to switch carriers you can take your number with you

...He would b!tch-slap you before you even got his pants down. What are you talking about: "Verizon=Dropped Calls"? They only have the best reputation in the nation for network quality. Maybe you should get your equipment fixed or replaced and your dropped calls would stop. | |

Ok, enough. Verizon can suck in many areas of the country. However, there as no need to come in this thread and bash Verizon. Create a thread somewhere else if you want help with your Verizon service.

My old roommate went to UDel - I would constantly rip on him for UDel and their "fighting blue (game)c0cks" (Methinks the real word would be banned.) Of course, my school's mascot is a giant Orange with arms, legs and a face, but at least it's not a chicken.
