Default Will V60P ringtones from Vtext.com work on V60s?

I just joined thanks to the helpful info I found here. Just got a V60s. Only a day so far, but my first impressions are positive. The comments on the speakerphone were influential on my decision, and after a few uses I agree that the quality is there, and it is a very useful feature.

Anyways, I wanted to see what ringtones were available at Vtext.com, so I signed up. But when I had to select a phone, the V60s wasn't there and V60P was. They warned me that if my phone wasn't specifically listed the download may not work and I'd be still be charged.

Can anyone verify if the V60P selections would work? I'd really like the Penn State fight song if it is available there, or somewhere else.

Thanks.
BullishDad

According the Verizon the V60s acts the same as a V60p as far as Vtext downloads are concerned. I have no clue what songs and downloads are available there.....Let us know how it works out for you.

As I understand the v60s is just the v60p with out the walkie-talkie and has the same software. If you come upon the chance, I would stop by the store where you purchased the phone and ask a sales rep. there. If they don't have an answer for you, give customer service a call [(800) 922-0204, or *611 from your mobile phone, the call is airtime free ]. They should be able to help you out.

Let us know how it goes and welcome to Wireless Advisor!

Well it seems that getting the ringtones from vtext would work by selecting the v60P. Because the v60s and p are pretty well identicle minus the PTT button. I think it should probably work but if it were me I would check before I gave them the money.

Thanks everyone for the replies. I listened to a bunch of tones (on the PC) after registering as a V60p. Didn't buy any yet, but it seems that it should work based on Frazzled's response, and I did receive a security code without a problem on the V60s as part of the registration process.

Default Will V60P ringtones from Vtext.com work on V60s?

Since I started this thread, I thought I should provide an update.

As reported by others, the answer to the original question is a definite YES.

If you want to purchase ringtones from vtext.com, just select the V60p as your phone.

Also, if you click on the Promotions tab, you can buy 3 ringtones for ($3.98) the price of 2. You get 3 credits, then when you're ready to purchase your ringtone, you select to pay using your available credits.

My choices were: Clocks, Flintstones and Rikki Don't Lose That Number. They sound pretty good on the V60s.
