Default v60s/p PRL

**I'm on America's Choice**

Well it seems that Verizon has screwed up the PRL's for both the V60s and V60p. I own a V60s and it came with PRL 50111 right out of the box. I did *228 and its now upgraded (or downgraded) to 50112 which is a non ERI PRL. With this new PRL it no longer shows Verizon Wireless onscreen when on the VZW network. I'm told by V60p users that this model has the same issue.

I caled VZW tech support today to discuss and they claim their database shows 50112 as the correct PRL for the V60s and V60p. The tech acknowledged that 50113 is the correct ERI PRL and he did not know why they chose to use 50112 with these two models. The only thing he could offer me was to take it to a store where the tech can hand pogram it to 50113 or wait until next month where they will hopefully correct this issue when the new PRL is released.

Anyone out there get 50113 on their V60s or p?

remember that the PRL that's downloaded onto yor phone also depends on the calling plan you have, A/C uses 50113, Local Digital Plan uses 50111.

your A/C plan PRL will also depend on the region you're at so maybe that's why your phone shows 50112, just a thought.

You have the same issue. The ERI enabled National Single Rate plan is 50116. Read more here:

So what does this mean for me? I just switched from Single Rate to America's Choice. So it seems like mine should be 50113.
How will this affect my phone, calls, bills,??

No, you have the non ERI AC PRL now. You should have 50113. The difference between 50112 and 50113 is only that 50113 will show Verizon Wireless on screen when you are in VZW coverage, extended network when in extended coverage and roaming when roaming. With 50112 you have to dissect the D logo and roaming indicator on screen to determine if you are in th VZW network or extended or roaming. This will not impact your bill as long as the triangle is blinking when you are not in the VZW network. Calling when the triangle is lit solid means you pay for roaming.

I suspect by the time the next PRL coems out, VZW will fix this issue. Don't be overly concerned for now.

Funny but alot of the Audiovox 8900 users are trying to get rid off their "verizon banner" from flashing on their phones, they get frustrated because on that particuliar phone the banner flashes between verizon and the time.

Quick newbie question - what does ERI stand for? The rest I understand, but I couldn't find anything on that. Thanks!

I have 50112, but my outside LCD says Verizon Wireless. The inside screen just has the D-in-a-box.

On the other hand, the phone says the ERI version is 50019 (under Phone Status/Other Information). Is this relevant?
