hi, i know ill get the best advice here, so thats why i posted it here. ok, i have verizon 2 year contract, im on my FIFTH VX6000 and now this one has the same problem 3 had already. im just sick of it. i know it might be hard considering im 16, but how can i get out of my contract for free? ill have my mom with me, so what should we say to get us out of the contract for free? i know it might not be the best decision to leave verizon, but whatever. i also know it might not be the best decision to join nextel. but whatever. or just get a different phone i guess if all else fails.. im not too into getting another vx6000. so what phone should i tell them i want if they say they cant get me out for free??? thanks so much to anyone who helpsssss!! -alex

Call customer service and explain the situation. Explain that you're really fed up with the problems and would like to try something different. Sometimes they will give you a different phone (although I'm not sure which one to suggest). A store can also do that (but both depend on who you talk to. Some reps, store or on the phone, are nicer than others). There really isn't any way to get out of the contract short of dying or paying the 175.

Last time I checked, a 16 year old can't enter into a contract. If no one co-signed your "agreement", it isn't worth the paper it was printed on.

but anyway... Its gonna be REALLY hard to get out of the contract without the ETF but considering you already been thru 5 phones, call customer service and demand to speak to a Supervisor, if the customer service guy says that he/she can help you, demand a supervisor saying that you"would probably feel more comfortable if a supervisor would handle your call" THEY WILL NOT DENY YOU TO SPEAK TO A SUPERVISOR. anyway, the Supe's have a lot more power than the CSReps so you can get out of it easier that way.make sure that they anotate the account to prevent any future "boo boos"

A friend of mine was having repeated handset problems with his Kyocera 2135 (and had contract issues involving a verbal agreement that never actually took place). Anyways, he ended up getting a new Moto 120e out of the deal. That phone was so unbelievably awful that he ended up getting CS to waive his ETF after a few weeks recieving about 10% of his phone calls. So who knows, if the new phone doesn't do it, you might be able to use it as an intermediate step towards getting the ETF waived.

I dunno if it will hekp but i called cs about changing a phone fro the 4th time and the person told me that after the third time they generally swap the phone for a different model or will let you early upgrade. There has been a few post on many differne tthings that have happened in this kind of situation. So be kind and be patient and hope you get a nice cs rep. AS a thought since verizon doesn;t curently offer any other camera phones that could be an arguement for teminating the contract. They can;t provide you with a different phone that does what you want. I dunno if it would work but it may be worth a shot
