As I said, I am sure it is too early to tell, but any ideas about the price? I am contemplating upgrading to the t720, but might wait until the t60 comes out. Do any of the posters have any ideas of the pricing structure for a phone like this? Thanks. |

No idea, that's completely up to the carriers that will carry it, and none of them have announced a price for it yet, to my knowledge.

Thats fair enough. I understand that the information is guarded by the manufacturers and carriers. I guess my issue is "do I want to upgrade now or wait until later" For instance, instead of getting a t720 or t730 now, would I get a better deal near the holidays on a better phone? You have informed me that the t720 is not bad if its GSM, but it sounds like there are still issued with the build quality. I used to be the type to just buy something right away. After getting married, my wife is rubbing off on me and I take a year to research before I buy anything. |

LOL. The T730 is CDMA only, and I would stay away from any of the CDMA T7xx's. The GSM T720's (720,721,722i) Don't seem to have the same software bugs as the CDMA ones. The v60t color though is only for TDMA networks, which are growing increasingly obsolete everyday, as TDMA carriers rollout GSM. Around the holidays you should see newer phones, including the GSM T725 and v600.

Just like anybody else, I don't want to feel like I screwed up buy getting a phone when newer/better phones are coming out. However, if the GSM t720 doesn't have the bugs like the others, it might not be a bad deal for $50. Again, I worry about the quality of the construction. The in store reps say "this is a floor model that is opened and closed a thousand times". Well, so must the other models on display but they don't feel loose and flimsy. |

The construction of all the T7xx phones does get to feel a little flimsy after a while. You may want to consider something else.

That is what I was looking to hear. It would bug me to know end to have to deal with that feeling of flimsiness after a while if I am in a 2 year contract. I was at a VZW store anh was hadling a 60p. What a tank compared to the t720. It felt solid and well built. that is the feeling I am looking forward to. |

Yeah, the v60's have always been built like tanks. Even my vx6000 feels somewhat delicate in comparison.
