Nice find! $249.99 is probably with a rebate of some sorts and a two year agreement..sheesh. Too bad it doesn't mention if the phone will be able to connect to computers or other handsets... The buttons are interesting.. |

Verizon likes to call the activation price the retail price but that is BS.

OK to make it perfectly clear.....] The Final PRice 2 year activation AFTER rebates is 249.99. Price for a 2 year activation Before rebates is 319.99 This price can also be considered the reg price by verizon The "full retail" or CASh OUT or non-activated or just want to buy the phone price is 519.99 "IN Radioshack only" verizon also has a lower "retail" price. Verizon will probaley full retail it at around 450 or so. This price can also be referred to as the "I'm Not eligibile for an upgrade for another 10 months" or "I droped my phone in the toilet" price I hope that makes things crystal |

I dont think i'll be buying this phone for a while if it's gonna be 519.99... i can wait till my contract is up and i sign a new one or the price comes down quite a bit. i'll be happy sticking with my LG VX4500 until i can afford the V710

The $519.99 price was for just the phone without activiation or even a contract, and it was through RadioShack. Be sure to check the prices again when the phone is launched by Verizon, they may be a little cheaper, even without a contract.

That's very expensive for a 2 year contract, and outrageous for no-contract. Sheesh.

I don't think 250 is bad at all at the phones release. I also paid alot for my v60 when I got it from verizon.

It funny you mention that because i had a customer come into my store with a v60c and i had to look up his receipt. and exactly as u say 399.99 is what he paid early 2002. if you look at it that way 250 is a bargin.

So then is Radio Shack actually gonna get the phone before VZW retail stores? Any date on when Verizon will start shipping them since I would assume they would be cheaper.

Radioshack has been planning this for a while. The probably took the initiative and getting shipments directly to their warehouses. Verizon probably wants to stock up a bit and be sure they have enough for a big release. On the other hand Radioshack doesn't care. First Week each store will probably get like 3 each. thats how it is with most phones, then like 2 weeks later the big delivery.

Will the RS stores have the V710 and be selling them before Verizon releases the phone though? Or will they wait until Verizon releases the phone to start selling/shipping/delivering them?
