Ok.. i've been thinking about teverything i'd want in a cell phone and heres what ive come up with::

-Motorola V60(p) phone as a base
-Speakerphone
-Push To Talk
-Color Screen
-40 chord polyphonic ringtones
-small camera attachment (not built in)
-BREW
-color external screen that shows signal strength, battery life, and time
-changeable faceplates
-digit dialing
-EXTENDABLE ANTENNA

crazy.. but it COULD be done. anyone who wants to post their "dream phone" can do so now... or just post here to escape all the PTT date threads.

My dream phone would actually be pretty much the same... and the sad part is, it really could be done. Moto has a prototype v60 with a color screen. Too bad they scrapped it.

My mom used to have one and I loved it ... sadly though it got stolen and she didn't have insurance. And now she currently uses the T720 *sigh*

perhaps the v60 series body with the LG interface, extendable antenna (similiar to the ones used on samsung/lg phones not the ones currently on the the v60) and a color internal and external screen with camera and some badass ringtones [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-smile.gif[/img]

My dream phone...[yup! here it comes]

Start with A StarTac [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-happy.gif[/img]
- I love the size, it's confortable to hold on your shoulder and up to your ear, my v60 is slightly too small, I falls all the time when I do this....

*2 digit speed dial!!!!
*Speakerphone
*Ringer ID [ringtone & color]
*Outside display that shows: time, battery life, signal, voicemail/txt message indicator
*Programmable soft keys [like the current v60 model]
*Re-order Menu items feature.
*Shortcuts [more than one LG!!!!]
*Changeable faceplates
*Color screen a plus
*Camera a plus
*Stub antenna [or at least a small antenna, NOT like the current v60!!]

PS. I actually don't care about PTT [duck].....none of my friends are with VZW, so it wouldn't be of any use.

Oh yeah, and I'd like it to be a Motorola.....but I would switch those damn SEND END keys!!

mmm... I still say v60z... built in microwave oven... dual exhaust... pentium 5 processor... .50 calliber anti-aircraft cannon... and a spoiler.

ok here goes a realistic idea of a dream phone:

Screen- Dual Sided see-thru ultrathin LCD color display. (its a new thing they actually exist) for equal sized inner and outer display and maximum battery life.

Camera - Built in swivel with flash up to 2.1 megapixels

Antenna - "Intenna"

Keypad - Design as that of the Samsung A460

Battery - whatever stuff they use in the army ^_^

Form Factor -Flip Phone

System software - Unix based

Java or brew - Java

Processor speed - 200mhz

Expandable memory- Fuji XD card bay

WLAN Enabled - 802.11g integrated

x10 Enabled (home automation system) - Yes

Push to talk Enabled - Yes but only thru Handset, no speakerphone support

Changeable Faceplates - yes Titanium Nickel Alloy.

Operating system- Mac OS Xm (tm) For mobile devices.

Bluetooth Enabled.

Infrared Enabled.

I cant think of any more useful stuff, i would have added swiss armny knife too but it would have been harder to get thru airports with it.

I really don't need the games but

the v60x style, size and features with:

1. Does anyone remember the motorola timeport P1867 with the tri-colored screen. It wasn't full color but had green, orange and blue display. That didn't eat too much battery either. I finally got rid of it about 5 months ago.

2. built in GPS
