Did they send me the right phone?

Just signed with Cingular for a Motorola V60gi World Phone - but the instruction book says it's for a V60i and there's nothing on the phone itself re what model it is.

How do I determine if it's a V60gi?

Also, I've been reading a lot about unlocking phones. Since this is a World Phone does it come unlocked or do I have to do something?

take off the back cover, take out the battery, youll see a series of barcodes and numbers ansd probably your model number there behind the phone.

the world phone you have is to be used all over the world where your carrier has an agreement but your phone does not come unlocked, unlocking lets you use any GSM carrier anywhere without having their branded phone.

you should be able to find the unlock codes, (tmobile gives them to you, i doubt cingular does though)....

if not you can get the for like $5...but i wouldnt really bother unless its gait
