I hate to be the one to post another Ringtone thread, but I can't stand looking through thread after thread after thread....you get the point....and not finding tones that work for my phone. I think it's great to have so many tones available on WA, but they usually come in some format that doesn't help <u>ME</u>!! I think it would help US out a lot to have one ringtone thread dedicated to v60i's that are CDMA. When people post tones for TDMA, or for other v60 models, the tones don't work on our phones because we have a different composer. I hope this thread works and that EVERYONE who posts will stick to the Title SO...please post on!!

My god, that's twice as many results as I got last time I searched. Off topic for a moment: There is a war brewing in my house between my room mate and my ball python. Aparently the python has decided my room mate is a giant hairy Irish mouse, and now stares at him with a hungry look in her eye constantly. It's pretty funny. My room mate is creeped out. |

Maybe I am a doofus (haven't used that word in years!) but isn't there already a dedicated v60 (and v120) ringtone thread?

Ceno - If your python wants a snack send it down to AZ. My sister deserves to get eaten by a python for downloading that freakin' ringtone.

Matt, The other form for the v60i was directed towards the v60 TDMA and GSM versions because of downloadable ring tones. Us CDMA folks have to manually enter the key presses Jack

Yeah...ummm...NO!! I guess you must think I'M a doofus, huh? Those threads don't work for the v60i-CDMA. Trust me, I tried!! And those v120 codes are just that: codes for the v120's. Anything with a * or a 4 or 5 doesn't work. I was just hoping that if there were some tones out there specifically for this model, they would be posted here. Guess NOT!! I could give 3 flying flucks about 50 Cent , but I was hoping everyone could post whatever tone they knew, as long as it was ONLY for the v60i-CDMA. That way, us poor freaks could do some heavy-duty keypressing. Oh well, Jack, I tried..... And Mr. Tones only sort of works. Mostly everything sounds a little off, but you can still figure it out. I was hoping for something better to come from this thread.

Actually I found a few ringtones on that thread when i had my V60i, but most sounded like crap. The composer that is on the CDMA V60i is the worst composer Moto or any other company has put on a phone.

You just gotta love it when you finally find a ringtone without the 4 and or *. Then spend all that time entering the notes, which by the end your fingers are cramped up. When you go play it, it sounds like crap. Then you just gotta say, THANKYOUMOTO!!!

Ah, I never tried composing any ringtones with my v60i...I am one of those traditionalists (at the ripe old age of 25!) that thinks phones should sound like phones when they ring. Silly me!

Yeah Budney, I know exactly how that is...*THANK YOU FREAKIN MOTO!* Matt: I know, that's why I have my phone set on "Classic" currently, but, on my v120e, I've always had Mission Impossible so, I was looking around trying to put it back on my v60i just for kicks --J.T |

I have one musical ringer that I ever use, and I have it assigned to one specific caller only. A friend of mine out in Cali gets "Big Pimpin'" as his ringer. Everyone else gets a regular ring...though I am very tempted to start using the ring from the Austin Powers video phone. Must...resist...urge...

HAHAHAHH yeah, I have that one on my v120e. My best friend had it when he called. That's funny. Thats the only thing I sort of miss with this v60i. I can't assign specific rings to different callers, but, whatever, it all rings so..? *I want the Austin Powers ring also!!* --J.T |

Yea, the classic ringtone on the V60i is nice, I did use it a few times. I just wish I could find a simular one for my 8100 for calls without caller ID. The ringtones that come with most newer phones just aweful IMO.

I downloaded a regular ring for the 8100 from 3Guploads. Of course, you may already have done that too and may be using it for your calls with caller ID

No I have not! Thank you for the info, it looks like they have added quite a bit of stuff in the last month. Now it's time to battle Vision, as it has been misbehaving the past few days in SoCal.

Budney, on the topic of ringtones, most phones are getting geared towards the 'younger-crowd" and so the makers put all of these musical ones on there, but, my Classic sounds just fine --J.T |

I feel your pain brother Matt! I for one, wouldn't die, simply because, it's just a freaking ringtone, and if you can't tell it's yours ringing while using the "Classic" ringer, then, that's your problem. --J.T |

Tadlock - The thing is most phones that are comming out now don't have any "classic" ringers. Most of the tones or ringers are wierd sound affects, which for most people are unacceptable in most situations. The phone makers are aiming for the "popular crowd" not so much the "younger crowd" with musical ringtones. As the ringtones are mostly top 20 Pop and/or Rap songs, which I personally can't stand. I for one don't have a big problem with ringtones, as I don't have a professional job. If I did, it would be embarrassing to have my phone sound like a kids toy or bust out some rap song, while I was in a meeting or with a important client. I just wish that sites had better selection as my taste in music arn't as popular (classic rock, jazz, metal, prog rock, & oddies). Luckly my 8100 uses midi & I found a site with all kinds of good songs, I just have to edit them. |

Budney: Oh, yeah, that's what I was saying. I was just messing around about it being "your problem" . I completely understand where you're coming from and I agree . I'm a very agreeable person hahaha. --J.T |
