Default Motorola v60i Covers etc

Has anyone gotten covers off of e-bay or at the mall for their v60i wireless phone. I know the mall/e-bay ones are plastic and not metal but how do they hold up.

anyone found a 2 piece belt clip for the v60i? (Similiar to the 9500)

Jack

I love this custom faceplate, too bad it when for so much. I believe the seller posts on HoFo, and all his custom faceplates are Moto OEM. I havn't heard great things about the plastic aftermarket faceplates on eBay. The metal faceplates were one of the key reasons I got the V60i in the first place, and I would hate to give up the solid feeling of the phone so I never bought one.

i bought 2 faceplates off Ebay for my old v60i before. They held up great. it fits a little snug, but it works...plus they also come with the extended back housing for the extended battery.

Thats what I figured about the aftermarket housings. There are some that are specifically for the Slim batteries!

Airb330:

I liked the 9500 alot but the phone was just to big and thick for my needs. The screen on the phone was wonderful but the size and the battery life where bad. I decided to try the v60i beause of the smaller size.

BTW The phone is smaller and the buttons are easier to use.

Jack,
I've been thinking about buying a few cute but crappy plastic faceplates myself, but I haven't done it yet. Anyway, I DID buy an OEM Blue Mist from Ebay and I LOVE IT....(Yes, AnthroMatt I caved, sort of....my friend who has an Ebay account did all the dirty work )

But I have to agree with Budney, I'm kinda scared of that cheap plastic, "what if I drop the phone?" feeling. I'm pretty certain I'll do it at some point, since I usually don't drop my phone.....but I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place: Ideally I'd like to buy just one to try it out, but then you end up paying a huge S/H that costs more than the actual faceplate, while if you buy, say 5 faceplates, you'll probably pay the same S/H. I guess buying a few is the way to go. I mean, if they suck, they're only like $3 a piece - no big loss.

When I activated the phone I got the midnight blue OEM motorola that I really like.

You could also go to one of the shops in the mall and see what they have.

I was in the mall with my friend on saturday and She wanted a new case for her phone so we went to one of the small cell accessories places and the covers did not seem as sturdy. Also many of their covers were made specifically for the extended battery and not the slim. She also got a aftermarket holster and that will only fit the slim.
