Recently my T720's status light has begun to periodically flash orange instead of green. It only does this sometimes and I can get it back to green by turning the phone off and then on again. It doesn't seem to be doing at any particular time or in response to anything that I can tell. Does anyone know why it would be doing this?

it means your phone is roaming

either that, or you musta have dropped it, so now its changing colors becuase its mad at you... lol

nah mang, you're roaming when that happens, thats when I see mine turn color.

I used to always leave the status light on, because its just so phatty up silly fresh funkdafied but ever sincee I turned it off, I get a lot more battery life. Maybe once i get the new 22dp upgrade, itll give me some more battery life and then I can go back to using it.

-not to change the topic of the thread, but seeing that the question is answered...what does every think of the status light, do you guys use yours? thoughts opinions - please share [img]i/expressions/face-icon-small-wink.gif[/img]

i Think its a nice addtion to have on a phone, specialy if your in a quiet zone its good to know what your phone is doing and what is happeneing with it! It does drain the battery so i hardly erver use mine!

I've noticed that sometimes my status light flashes yellow/orange, but the triangle roaming symbol is NOT showing. I'm confused, any ideas?

It is flashing orange but I do not have the triangle roaming indicator. I am out of my home service area though, could that be it?

I have the 2dp software. I have the LED on and I haven't noticed much of a power loss. Then again, I keep my phone charged in my office and at home. I use my phone a lot.
Anyone who doesn't the the 2dp software, get it. Faster scrolling and doesn't switch networks as much as it used to.

2 DP is the NEWEST version of software/firmware for your phone! Getting the new version will DRASTICLY improve your 720. Better Battery life, no more freezing up/ locking up/blac screen, no more digitial/analog hunting, better reception, faster scrolling speeds, enahanced and better working Get It Now and a few more that i cant remmeber! THe software can be done at ANY Verizon store, but NOT the Authorized Dealer stores! Its free and takes about 30min to an Hour. You DONT lose your phone book, but u MIGHT lose some games/ringtones/wallpapers and personal settings. Good Luck!
