I would like to put a pull out V120C antenna on a V120E phone to obtain better reception. Can any of you ol' Motorola hands tell me how to properly do this? Step by step instructions please. Thanks |

that might not be a good idea. I broke my antenna 4 times in less than a year with that phone back in 2001-2002. I know most people who have V120t ot V120c either replaced that antenna about once a year or it has been broken and they aren't going replace it. |

I have read about all of the broken V120C antennas people have had but I have also had a v120c for years and have never even came close to breaking one antenna. Mine has the original antenna on it. |

The motorola v120c antenna is one of the flimsiest pieces of crap I have ever seen. My advice is to keep the 120e antenna. The 120e's with the blue backlight are 10 times better in reception than the 120e's with green backlight that were available after the release of this phone back in September of 2002. Or you could get an up to date phone such as the Kyocera KX414, that phone has decent reception and you could get it at a decent price(ebay). The 120e is well known for its major problems and has been discontinued(software bugs, dropped calls). Plus the KX414 has many more features over the 120e such as Get It Now, and an alarm clock. Just my 2 cents. |
