Hi, Got a Motorola V60i on Verizon. Went into the store since I was not getting the caller's phone number. The nice guy at the store got my phone is what he said was test mode, and could not get it out. People have advised ##Debug which does not work. Is my phone in debug mode? Here is what I see: 4 rows of data organised in 4 columns (looks like) (prev next on 5th line). Some of the numbers are constantly changeing. Next screen reads (Normal PD with some data below) Next screen has a long list of menu items. If this is not test mode, what is it, and how do I get out of it? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. < chris |

If that was a verizon store that it happend at the guy should have just replaced your phone if he didn't know how to get out of it. You probably just don't have caller ID provisioned to your account and should call customer service to add it on to your account.

The store was out of replacement phones. I did call 611, and they said my account had caller ID turned on. This is why the guy tried so hard, and accedently messed the phone up. The phone is a replacement for a timeport, which worked fine, that died recently. The v60i had never worked quit right. < chris |

scsiwashe- You are definitely in test mode. If you press menu and then the left soft key, then end, it should take you back to the idle screen. From here, press ##debug again. The 4 will not appear. You should then be out of test mode. Hope this helps. |

Hey thanks, seems like I was missing you have to hit the menu, then left soft key pretty quickly. For the retarded like me (correct me if I'm wrong): 1.) turn off phone 2.) turn on phone 3.) hit menu, then left soft key (- button to left of menu) quickly 4.) ##debug (33284) Thanks for your help. < chris |

You got it. If you want to leave your phone in test mode for whatever reason, you can toggle back and forth between the data screens and your idle screen by pressing menu and the left soft key. I don't suggest messing around with test mode though. Many many people have permamantly f'ed up theif phones this way.

The TDMA version is a little different. I don't use TDMA phones, but if memory serves, you should be able to press #program# send to get into the programming menu. Do this from the idle screen. After in programming, one of the last options should be test mode. Select it, and then select disable.

Hey Prince, Thanks for trying to help me. It's on the TDMA network. I tried #program# and nothing happens...I tried #program# Send, but it just dials the number. Do you think if I called AT&T for support, they will know? or should I try Motorola support?

I doubt any one at AT&T customer service would know what test mode is. Try calling moto, that would be your best bet. Sorry I could not be of more assistance. Good luck.

Hey Cenobyte, I found the answer in another thread I overlooked (Thanks Shumes for posting). I did a Master Reset from the Menu, Settings, Other Settings. Thanks for trying to help me . |

rneff50- Master reset will reset your phone to the original factory settings, but will not clear any info you have saved in the phone. Master clear will clear your phone book, text messages, voice memos, etc.

Type in the Code #PROGRAM# followed by the [Send] button. This has to be done within 3-5 seconds, otherwise your phone will try to dial the number. | |

I good site to check out regarding your phone would be http://www.cellphonehacks.com/viewtopic.php?t=4. The very first topic is [ Submit Motorola Secret Codes, Unlock Codes and Info ] and contains several different things to try for getting your phone in and out of test mode.
