MPT- not working I have installed the BT adaptor & paired the phone to the computer.
I have downloaded MPT, then installed. It rebooted and wants the phone in discovery mode (even though it's already paired). It finds it & won't finish the install.
What am I doing wrong???
(I didn't ask my techie dh b/c he was working for 20 hours this weekend doing an install/upgrade at work)
I have MPT V4, Moto v557, headset 820, adaptor PC850.
I've got it on an older laptop - haven't tried it on the desktop or brought it to work yet.
TIA!Right where I want to be, until I decide to go somewhere else

Re: MPT- not working Had a similar problem with 2 different BT adapters and my V505. I can use MPT with the cable (it's temperamental, though), but never can get it to work with BT. Frustrating, I know...
One of the errors I was getting was that my BT was not authorized for this function.

Re: MPT- not working I think I figured it out! Woo hoo!!
First, I installed MPT - no BT PC850 installed yet.
Then rebooted and installed the PC850 software.
Then I paired with the BT tools - both the PC & the phone.
Then I opened MPT, put the phone back in discovery mode & it found it, linked up & installed the phone.
Now I have to figure out a way to get my OWS Exchange data from work exported.
The husband of our director is a huge MS hater. Even though the rest of the campus has switched to Exchange Mail & Calendaring, we haven't. (I did while a student)
The lab still uses Corporate Time for calendar, so I have to export it to Outlook, head to the school's Office 2003 computers & import.
Gets old. I may have to just have a separate login at home that is for work, I think.Right where I want to be, until I decide to go somewhere else
