Default NooB with a stupid question! V551 Messup!

Hi, I'm new here but not new to forums I'm a senior moderator on PerformanceProbe.com. Anyways here's my problem. I accidently flashed the wrong file to my V551 (I followed the instructions to the V600) and thinking it was the same I flashed the Triplets flash on my phone now it wont turn on.

I have an idea I'm a complete moron and I made myself a nice paperweight but I was wondering if there was some way I could at least turn it on. I know this was the most retarded thing I could've done. I was so excited to be able to do this to my phone and it's an expensive mistake! Note to self: Let experts play with things like this

Luckily I backed up most of my ringtones, pictures, movies before attemping this. So I didnt lose everything but I wanted to see if there was a possibility I could reflash....

I made fun of people who screw up their car I guess it's karma that it comes back and bites back at me .

So if anyone know how I could posibably recover my blunder it would be greatly appercaited

You were partly right. The software for your computer & the process is the same. Where you screwed up is the V600 is a triplets phone. You need a flash for a R47 series phone, and you need to be able to boot your phone to bootloader mode to try to recover it.

Here's what you need to try:

Enter bootloader mode by holding # and *, then pressing the power key. depending on the bootloader version the phone may still appear to be off, but should be able to be reflashed. At that time if you can connect to the phone with your software you need to install a V551 monsterpack just to get you running again, then you can go on for custom flashes, flexes & seem edits.

I've never put the wrong file on my phone before, so this may not be fixable, but it certainly is worth a shot. If you need more help I would recommend asking at www.motomodders.net in the R47 series forum. There are some really experienced modders that hang out there and if the answer is to be had, they will know.

Good Luck,

Jay
